Born David “Dave” Caldwell Duncan in New Brighton, PA, March 2, 1951

EDUCATION
— Started piano lessons at the tender age of 7
— Started drum lessons at age 11
1963: Moved to Dallas (1963)
1963-1968: Studied with Mitchell Peters: formerly Principle Percussionist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra & The Los Angeles Philharmonic ( mp817@aol.com)
1975-1976: Studied music at Richland College under friend, Paul Guerrero, of Woody Herman fame
1975-1985: Mentor and friend: Jimmy (JZ) Zitano: (Jazz Workshop in Boston, Billie Holiday, Al Hurt, etc.) JZ is the reason Mr. Duncan calls himself “DC”
